CONTEXT

RateGain helps hotels optimize revenue through AI-powered pricing and market intelligence. But its landing page didn't communicate that value quickly enough, leaving first-time visitors with more questions than confidence.

Where It Loses People

Where It Loses People

Where It Loses People

The friction wasn't in the product. The experience created more questions than answers.

Enterprise buyers scan before they read. Important information was scattered across the page, trust appeared too late, and competing actions made the next step unclear.

Value Stays Hidden

The value proposition isn't immediately clear. Visitors have to scroll before understanding how RateGain helps improve hotel revenue.

Trust arrives too late

Client logos sit two full scrolls down. By the time a skeptical buyer sees Hilton or Hyatt, they've already decided whether the page is worth reading further. Trust should be established before the ask, not after.

The CTA competes with itself

"Contact Sales" and "See it in Action" carry equal visual weight. That forces the visitor to make a decision the page should be making for them — which action matters more, right now.

The Strategic Call

The Strategic Call

The Strategic Call

Rather than redesigning individual screens, I simplified the journey from first impression to demo request by reducing friction at every stage.

Clarify the value before the platform

Lead with the business outcome instead of generic platform messaging. Help hotel teams understand how RateGain drives revenue and pricing decisions before introducing its product suite.

Surface packages and credibility early

Move package options and trust signals above the fold, before feature details. Enterprise buyers want to quickly understand what's included and who it's for, making evaluation faster and more confident.

four decisions. each tied to metrics.

•Navigation: Optimized the navigation around user intent for faster access to key pages.

•Social Proof: Added a trust-focused announcement bar to reinforce credibility from the first interaction.

• Hero Area: Added strong value proposition + subheadline that instanty tells about platform.

•Feature Highlights: Introduced modular feature cards to help users quickly understand the platform's core capabilities.

•Stats Section: Redesigned using bold, boxed styles for easy comparison.

•Pricing: Highlighted recommended plan, added feature checkmarks, and made CTAs more prominent.

•CTA Section: add consistent CTA with Simplified strong message to reduce decision friction and encourage conversions.

•FAQs section- Addressed common user questions upfront to reduce hesitation, build trust, and support faster sign-ups.

What This Changes

What This Changes

What This Changes

An honest hypothesis, not a fabricated number.

I don't have analytics access to RateGain's live site, so I can't claim a lift percentage.

Every decision above is traceable to one of: business goal (demo bookings), user goal (fast comparison), UX principle (hierarchy, proximity), or conversion psychology (default bias, reduced interaction cost) — not to a general sense of "looking cleaner."

reflection

If I had usage data, I'd start there — not with assumptions.

Trust and pricing are my best hypotheses for where visitors drop off, based on how the current page is structured. But the honest next step isn't shipping this redesign — it's instrumenting the current page, watching where people actually leave, and testing from there.

Design decisions here are reasoned, not proven. That distinction is the point of this review.
